NYSDOH Syphilis Guidelines: A Case Presentation
At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to:
- State the frequency with which a health care provider should screen an HIV-infected patient for syphilis.
- Discuss the criteria by which a health care provider should make a diagnosis of latent syphilis infection.
- List the four conditions under which health care providers should perform a lumbar puncture in patients with syphilis or history of syphilis.
