Description

This Drug User Health ECHOTM session features Katherine Tineo-Komatsu speaking on Advanced Motivational Interviewing Skills for Drug User Health. This presentation will provide attendees with the skills and knowledge to assess for and know when to intervene for substance use, apply motivational interviewing to help address unhealthy substance use and know when to refer an individual to treatment for unhealthy substance use.

Katherine Tineo-Komatsu,LCSW, RYT

Katherine Tineo-Komatsu LCSW, RYT, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Yoga Teacher. They graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies from Brown University and a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. They also completed a certificate program at the New School on Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy. Katherine currently works at a primary care program specializing in the treatment of hep c and substance use disorders in NYC.
