Description

This course is intended to discuss barriers to healthcare and health maintenance experienced by transgender and non-binary individuals; organ-based health screening and health maintenance screening unique to transgender individuals; and minority stress and the mental health ramifications of aggregate trauma on patient health.

Lauren Radziejewski ,DNP, ANP-BC

Lauren Radziejewski, DNP, ANP-BC is a seasoned nurse practitioner with extensive expertise in primary care and specialty care of transgender and nonbinary people as well as primary care of the medical complex patient. She is trained in adult and geriatric medicine and was one of the founding clinicians of the Transgender and Intersex Specialty Care Clinic at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. She has also served as the Clinical Program Manager of the Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery at Mount Sinai before joining Galileo Health as New York City Medical director.

Lauren holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Minnesota in addition to BS and MS degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also holds a BA in Fine Art from the University of Richmond. In her spare time she is an active mixed media artist.
