This presentation will discuss the recently released evidence for use of doxycycline as post-exposure prophylaxis for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and will describe the available evidence for use of doxycycline as pre-exposure prophylaxis for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Daniela E. DiMarco,MD, MPH

Dr. DiMarco is an infectious diseases physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She provides clinical care within the URMC system and the Monroe County Sexual Health Clinic. Dr. DiMarco is faculty within the New York State Clinical Education Initiative Sexual Health Center of Excellence. Her work focuses on STIs, including HIV, and she leads the CDC-funded Northeast Track 2B Capacity Building Assistance Program for HIV Prevention at the University of Rochester Center for Community Practice.
