This presentation will provide a detailed overview of microdosing induction for buprenorphine, and share resources such as protocols and patient education tools with attendees. At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to compare standard and microdosing induction of buprenorphine and list the steps in microdosing buprenorphine for patients with opioid use disorder.
Laila Khalid, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal and addiction medicine. She codirects a resident-led chronic pain clinic and is an eConsultant for opioid management of ambulatory patients at Montefiore. She is also a buprenorphine clinic site champion and leads the Buprenorphine Microdosing Working Group at Montefiore.
