Savanah Russ, PhD, MPH is a doctoral epidemiologist at the Rochester, NY site of the Emerging Infections Program network, as well as an adjunct professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. Her research focuses on the identification of factors related to communicable disease incidence, as well as effective solutions for mitigation of excess burden of COVID-19, HPV and related sequelae and HIV. In particular, she studies disparate adult vaccine uptake as well as reasons for vaccine hesitancy, both with the HPV and COVID-19 vaccines. Prior to receiving her doctoral degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in epidemiology in 2023, she received her BA in Biology from SUNY Geneseo (’16), and her MPH in Epidemiology of Microbial Disease with a concentration in Public Health Modeling from the Yale School of Public Health (’19).
