Description

By the end of this presentation, the audience will be able to identify what confidential content within the history provided by an adolescent, better understand varied state and federal laws related to adolescent confidentiality and describe strategies for maintaining adolescent confidentiality in the EHR and clinical space.

Amy Paul is an Adolescent Medicine provider at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She completed her pediatric residency at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital and her Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at the University of Rochester. Her quality improvement initiative in fellowship involved ensuring adolescent patient confidentiality was maintained in the the age of the 21st Century Cures Act. She presented this research at multiple national conferences including SAHM, PAS, and the AAP conference. Her clinical interests include LGBTQI healthcare, gender affirming healthcare and reproductive healthcare.
