Description

This course will ensure that clinicians will know the definition of resistance and discuss the causes of HIV drug resistance, the tests used for measuring HIV drug resistance, including phenotypic and tropism testing, and the indications for when to perform resistance testing and review which tests are appropriate for optimal patient outcomes.

Rebecca Glassman ,MD

Rebecca Glassman, MD is a primary care physician with a focus in the primary care of HIV infected patients. She is graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and earned her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed medical residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she was a member of the inaugural HIV primary care track, and served as a Primary Care Chief Medical Resident. She continued on at BIDMC as a faculty member and clinician educator, as well as the site PI for the New England AIDS Education and Training Center until 2021 when she moved to Westchester Medical Center. At Westchester Medical Center, she serves as the medical director for the Ally Care Center, a comprehensive primary care clinic providing inclusive care for all, with a focus on management of patients living with HIV
