Daniel Lee, MD
Daniel Lee, MD is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UC San Diego School of Medicine and is actively involved in HIV clinical care at UC San Diego Owen Clinic. He also participates in clinical research and teaching of medical students and residents. His focus area of specialty is in the clinical management of metabolic complications of antiretroviral therapy and he is the Medical Director of the Owen Lipid/Lipodystrophy Clinic and the HIV Learning Network, a telehealth program associated with the Pacific AIDS Education Training Center.

This activity is intended for frontline providers of care to persons at risk for or who are living with HIV, including specialist and primary care Physicians, NPs, PAs, Nurses, and Pharmacists. Other HIV care team members are also encouraged to participate.

Learning Objectives

As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Identify risk factors that may contribute to weight gain
  • Offer nonpharmacologic options for managing weight gain
  • Determine which pharmacologic options are appropriate for managing weight gain
