This session will discuss approaches to care for patients with unhealthy alcohol use with opioid use disorder.  Using a case-based format, we will review important considerations for identifying and addressing unhealthy alcohol use in the context of injection drug use.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe patterns of unhealthy alcohol use among individuals who inject drugs 
  2. Understand the potential consequences of unhealthy alcohol use among individuals who inject drugs 
  3. Identify treatment options to address unhealthy alcohol use among individuals who inject drugs
