The federal training requirements to prescribe buprenorphine have been drastically reduced.
Attend this one-hour express training and you can be ready to start prescribing!

This new one-hour course will teach providers the basics of how to prescribe buprenorphine to treat opioid use disorder. It will discuss the new federal buprenorphine practice guidelines and explain how providers can submit a Notification of Intent to obtain an X-waiver to prescribe buprenorphine.

This course will be offered multiple times, and each training will be tailored to providers of a specific discipline: primary care, rural health, hospital medicine, OB and others caring for persons who are pregnant, and providers caring for patients with chronic pain and opioid use disorder. Additional tailored trainings for correctional health and behavioral health are being planned.
